What travel documents are required for check in

For international flights you must present a passport that is valid at least 180 days after your return.

For domestic flights you must present a valid government issued photo ID.

Additionally, you must present a valid paper ticket when electronic tickets are not applicable.

Electronic ticket receipts are not required at the time of check-in. Boarding passes are issued at the time of check-in based on your identification and matching reservation information that is stored in the airline’s reservation system. You may also print your boarding passes at home by visiting the applicable airline website (if the airline providing transportation offers such service).

If using electronic tickets we suggest that you bring a copy of your flight itinerary to the airport. You may be asked to show your flight itinerary to airport security personnel while standing in the check-in line.

IMPORTANT: VISAS AND TRANSIT VISAS

It is your responsibility to obtain all visas and transit visas required for your international travel. You might only be changing airplanes in a foreign country within the same airport, but a transit visa might still be required. Failure to obtain all visas required for travel will result in any of the following:

• Denial of boarding at airline check-in with the ticket losing all its value.
• Denial of entry into a foreign country and consequential repatriation into your country of origin. You will be responsible for all repatriation costs, including airline ticket costs.
• You might possibly be allowed by foreign immigration to obtain a visa at or near the airport, however, this will likely involve very high costs and missed flight connections, if any.
