At Best Travel Store we constantly invest into implementing the highest standards in payment security, including advanced data protection, limiting employee access to sensitive information and other credit card industry standard protection measures.

The BTS online purchase path, including the credit card payment page, is encrypted using a 1024 bit key, which effectively means that the data you submit online cannot be opened or viewed by any third party. It is just as safe to provide your credit card information online as it is to call us and provide it over the phone.

What Happens to your Credit Card Information after you submit it to BTS

The information is handled exactly the same way whether you submit it online or over the phone.

The credit card information is typically transmitted to a central airline credit card payment settlement system, where we obtain a credit card charge authorization and debit your card for the purchased amount. Sometimes we use our own bank’s credit card settlement system, depending on our agreement with the applicable airline as to who is responsible for the charge. The credit card information is encrypted and stored in your airline reservation during the lifespan of the reservation. Afterwards it is automatically deleted.

You may optionally choose to store credit card information in your Best Travel Store online Billing profile and thus enable fast checkout next time you purchase with us based on previously stored payment information. The credit card information we store in our database is encrypted using a sophisticated algorithm, which makes it extremely difficult to decrypt such data within any reasonable amount of time. We also implement rigorous measures in limiting credit data access to authorized staff only.
