Ben Gurion (TLV), Israel's major international airport, also referred to by its Hebrew acronym Natbag (Hebrew: ???"?), is the largest and busiest international airport in Israel. It was named the best airport in the Middle East by the ACI organisation.
It is located 12 mi (20 km) from Tel Aviv and 30 mi (50 km) from Jerusalem. It is operated by the Israel Airports Authority, a government-owned corporation that manages all public airports and border crossings in the State of Israel.
Ben Gurion International Airport serves as the home base of El Al, Israir Airlines, Arkia Israel Airlines, and Sun d'Or International Airlines. Terminal 3 is used for most international flights, while Terminal 1 is used for all domestic flights as well as the Jet2.com flight to Manchester Airport. The airport has three runways and is used by commercial, private, and military aircraft.
Ben Gurion International Airport is considered one of the world's most secure airports with a security force that includes both police officers and IDF soldiers and airport security guards both in uniform and undercover.
The taxi rank and the dispatcher's station at Terminal 3 are on Level G of the Multi Level Road, close to exit gate no' 03 of the Greeters Hall.
In order to be referred to a Taxicab, you must go through the dispatcher’s station.

The driver will accompany the passengers to the cab and drive them to the desired destination.

Public transportation services are located in the three-storey bridge on the second floor, next to Gates 21 and 23.
Egged Bus Lines:
The Egged bus lines listed below stop at Airport City and do not pass through Ben-Gurion Airport: 249, 423, 475, 943 and 947.
Egged line 5 serves as an internal transport line from Airport City to Ben-Gurion Airport and back.
The bus line from the terminal to Ben-Gurion Airport exits Sharon St. in Airport City, right turn to road 453, through El-Al Junc., Ben-Gurion Airport Square, Terminal 2, Terminal 1, and straight to Terminal 3. Some bus lanes will pass through the Eastern Support area.
Passengers wishing to transfer from the above bus lines to Ben-Gurion Airport through the shuttle will receive the passage ticket free of charge. Passengers who use only the shuttle line will pay the internal bus fare.
Bus line 239 from Ramla and Lod to Ben Gurion Airport will continue on its lane to Terminal 3, through the Eastern Support Area on the following hours: 15:05, 16:05, 17:05, 18:05.

The Control Room
The control room is used for managing and controlling the parking lots in Ben Gurion Airport and operates 24 hours a day.
The control room is located near the exit lanes of the short-term parking lot - No. 3 parking lot.

Motorcycles Parking Lots
Motorcycle owners may park their vehicles in the short-term eastern parking lot, first floor, C area.
Parking is limited to 24 hours.
Park and Go Service
A “Park and Go” service at Ben-Gurion Airport allows passengers taking the train from Ben-Gurion Airport to all destinations to park their vehicles at the airport for a special price of 12 NIS for a period of up to 24 hours.
The railway passengers, taking advantage of the service, will park their vehicles at the Short-Term Parking Lot (up to 24 hours) and take the parking ticket issued at the parking lot, in order to codify it at the Station Manager’s Office or at one of three automatic machines located at the railway station.
The payment for the parking will be made at the automatic machines on the parking premises.
Tow-Away Parking Lot
A vehicle towed from the area of Terminal 1 or 2 will be transferred to a tow-away parking lot, located next to parking lot no.7.
To release your vehicle please refer to the control room, located in the short-term parking lot, facing Terminal 1.
A vehicle towed from Terminal 3 will be transferred to a tow-away parking lot, located next to the short-term parking lot exit, facing Terminal 3.
Towing rate - 190 NIS, not including the assigned parking rate.

The parking lots are located in two multi-storey facilities, and consist of 2,000 parking places. It serves for parking up to 24 hours.
Reaching the Terminal building from the Parking Lot:
There are two possible ways to get to the Terminal:
From Level G, walk straight towards the terminal and cross the road at the marked spot.
From the first floor of the parking area, walk through the curved passage. When you reach the Terminal please ascend to the third floor, or to Level G, for performing the necessary flight arrangements.

No. 1 Parking Lot - in front of Terminal 1
This parking lot is located in front of the old Terminal - Terminal 1 - and is designated for short-term parking, limited to 24 hours.

No.13 Parking Lot in the Cargo Area

LONG TERM PARKING:
Useful Instructions for the Long-Term Parking Lot Costumers:
Be sure to keep the parking ticket for a speedy exit.
Signposts on site direct you, for your convenience, to available parking places and to parking places reserved for the handicapped.
A shuttle bus station for Terminal 3 is located in the parking lot. Frequency of shuttle service: every 15-20 min.
Before exiting the parking lot, please pay at the parking lot register.
Exiting is possible only after payment of parking ticket.
Tire-Changing Services:
Customers of the long-term parking lots receive tire-changing services free of charge.
Main Long-Term Parking Lot for Terminal 3 filights
Parking in the long-term parking lot is available 24 hours a day.
This parking lot consists of 2,100 parking spaces in a non-roofed area and 110 spaces in a roofed area.
Signposts will direct you to the parking lot.
The driver is recommended to drop his/her passengers at the Terminal before parking.
Rates for parking in the Non-Roofed Parking Lot:

Exclusive Parking Lot for Terminal 3 flights
An exclusive long term parking lot is located in the front of Terminal 3 and consists of 400 parking spaces.

Long-Term Parking Lot for Terminal 2 flights (Domestic)
The parking lot near Terminal 2 consists of 350 parking spaces. It serves as both short-term parking until 24 hours and long-term parking for passengers departing from Terminal 2.
The prices for long-term parking at the parking lot near Terminal 2:
For a 24-hour parking – 25 NIS.
For every extra hour (up to 3 hours) or a part of an hour – 5 NIS.
For Example:
A customer parking at the long-term parking lot from 08:00 until 11:00 a.m. the next day will pay 40 NIS (25 + 15).
A customer parking at the long-term parking lot from 08:00 a.m. until 16:00 p.m. the next day will pay 40 NIS.
The Israel Airports Authority runs a free shuttle service in Ben Gurion airport. The service is operated by a concession-holder, in spacious buses that can accommodate the passengers and their luggage.
The buses are outfitted to suit assisted passengers, according to Ministry of Transport regulations.

The Terminal 3 shuttle stop is on Level B of the multi-level road, between entrance gates 21 and 23.
Shuttle Route
The Shuttle runs from the long-term parking lot to Terminal 3 and back.
When there are domestic flights at Terminal 2, the shuttle runs through Terminal 2 as well.
The car rental companies’ counters are located on the first floor of the East Gallery in the Greeters' Hall. The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Picking up and returning a rented vehicle takes place in the parking lots serving the car rental companies. The parking lot contains 500 parking bays and is located on the ground floor of the east parking building, opposite the Terminal 3 Building.
Renting a car
Arriving passengers who wish to rent a vehicle, should take the elevator, escalator or stairs to the first floor of the East Gallery in the Greeters' Hall, where the counters of the various car rental companies are located.
When you have completed the paperwork at the company’s counter, continue south, via the corridor linking the terminal with the parking lots to the Terminal. From the parking lot, take the elevator or stairs to Level G, then follow the signs to the relevant car rental company to pick up the vehicle.
Returning a Rented Vehicle
The car-rental return area at the front of Terminal 3

Can be reached by following signs for ”arriving flights” and “return of rented cars”.
The car-rental return area opposite Terminal 2
Serves Eldan and Sixt.
The car rental companies provide transportation from the parking site to Terminal 3. The vehicle’s gas tank may be filled on site at the end of the rental period.

The information is at your disposal 24 hours a day. The stewards will be happy to provide information and assist in any matter related to the Airport and its services. The BGA clinic is open to the public 24 hours a day and is situated next to entrance 21 in the gallery of the Greeters' Hall. In an emergency or in any case where medical assistance is required, go to one of the information counters or approach any Airport employee, who will be happy to help.
Israel Police - Ben Gurion Airport Area
The Police Station is situated in the parking lot opposite Terminal 1, and a front post is located in Terminal 3 in the Greeters' Hall, next to Entrance 11. All police services provided elsewhere in the country are also available at this Station, including depositing of weapons and handling of lost and found items.
A special activity of the Police at BGN is the responsibility and execution of border control processes for passengers departing the country and arriving therein.

It is recommended to arrange meetings in advance, at the meeting points in the check-in hall next to entrance 32 and in the Greeter's Hall, next to Entrance 03.
Postal Services
There is a post office branch at Ben Gurion Airport in the "Sh'hakim" Buy & Bye Shopping Center, open 24 hours and closed on Saturdays and Holidays.
Smoking
Smoking in the Terminal is forbidden, with the exception of places designated for this purpose.

A synagogue is located in the Greeters' Hall next to Entrance 11 and in the little Rotunda in the Airside Building.

Public telephones operated by Telecard and coins are available throughout the Terminal in the various service areas.
Travel Agents
Travel agents’ offices are located on the second floor of the eastern gallery, next to entrance gate no. 23.
V.A.T. Refund
Tourists who purchase $100 worth of goods or more at shops registered with the Ministry of Tourism, are entitled to a discount and to a V.A.T. refund upon their departure from Israel. The refund may be obtained at the Changeplace counter in the Rotunda, where you will be required to display the goods that you purchased and the invoices you received. The refund is calculated based on the US$.
The Company has an additional point in the check-in hall, where it is possible to display the items that you wish to send in your suitcase to the aircraft’s hold.
V.I.P. Areas
In terminal 3 there are three VIP lounges for departing passengers. The facilities are located in the three concourses B, C and D of the Air Terminal.
The two lounges in concourses B and C are operated by the Dan Hotel chain and QAS, and the lounge in Concourse D is operated by El Al, for passengers of that airline only.
For Passengers with Babies
A Mother and Child room, operated by the toy shop, is located in the Air Building, next to the Rotunda. Foreign Currency Exchange
Bank Hapoalim and Changeplace provide foreign currency services. Changeplace also deals with the refund of V.A.T. to tourists. The counters are located in the check-in hall and in the Rotunda.

Terminal 2 serves the passengers of domestic flights from Ben Gurion Airport to Eilat and back.
The terminal is located near the eastern entrance of Ben Gurion Airport, approaching from Route #40.
The terminal comprises 3 halls: the Check-In Hall, the Departures Hall for outbound passengers and the Arrivals Hall for inbound passengers.
The King David Lounge is for use by El Al passengers equipped with internet stations. The Jet Set Lounge comes with fax and internet 24 hours a day for business class for a small fee.The VIP Mezada lounge for internet access and fax.
Terminal 3 was designed with a view to improving service for all passengers while providing thoughtful solutions for the disabled and enabling them to enjoy the full range of airport services in person and independently.

Israel Airports Authority Director General Gabi Ofir: “The Israel Airports Authority will continue to provide passengers with polite, efficient and safe service along with ongoing expansion and enhancement of services to passengers and visitors at Ben Gurion and domestic airports.”
In 2005 an increase of 11% was registered in the number of passengers passing through Ben Gurion International Airport compared with 2004. 8,506,627 people used Terminal 3 in the past year. Compared with 2003, this represents an impressive growth of 25.3% in passenger traffic.
A total of 4,247,036 people entered the country last year, representing an 11% increase over 2004. There was a rise of 10.8% in the number of outgoing passengers, totaling 4,259,591.
The number of aircraft flying in and out of Israel rose by 5.3% in 2005 compared with the previous year, and totaled 62,303. Compared to 2003, this represents an increase of 16.7% in aircraft traffic.
The most popular destinations for outgoing flights from Ben Gurion Airport in 2005 were the US, Turkey, France, Britain and Germany.
Domestic air traffic totaled approximately 2.4 million passengers, including approx. 1.1 million to and from Eilat This represents a rise of approximately 5% over 2004.
Israel Airports Authority (IAA) Director General Gabi Ofir expressed his satisfaction with the figures and the increase in passenger and aircraft traffic, and noted that the IAA expects the growth to continue in 2006, although at a more moderate rate. Ofir said that the IAA would continue to provide passengers with polite, efficient and safe service. At the same time, the range of services for both passengers and visitors will be expanded.
