The Miami-Dade Transit Department ( www.co.miami-dade.fl.us ) provides service daily to thousands of regular, first-time, and occasional public transit customers. Below is a sample list of the modes of transportation offered.
Metro-Bus:
The local city bus service, which provides scheduled services to all areas of Miami-Dade County. The bus station at MIA is located on Level 1 of Concourse E, directly across from Customs.
Metro-Rail:
The mass-transit, fixed-rail system, which provides direct, local transportation to areas throughout Miami-Dade County.
Metro-Mover:
The "Downtown-Specific" fixed-rail system service, which provides transportation to popular locations in the Downtown Miami and Brickell areas.
Tri-Rail:
The Commuter Train service, which runs along Interstate 95, providing commuter service to the airport from Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The Airport Station is immediately east of the airport, across Le Jeune Road (42 Avenue) on NW 21st Street. Bus connections to the Tri-Rail Airport Station are available from the bus station. Metro-Bus also provides free shuttle bus service to the airport terminal for passengers with a valid Tri-Rail ticket. Taxi & Shuttle Service:
Taxicabs and SuperShuttle vans are available only on the ARRIVAL (ground) level at Miami International Airport, outside of the baggage claim areas. MIA has wheelchair-accessible taxicabs and SuperShuttle vans available upon request to any taxi starter, located on the ground level of the terminal, outside the baggage claim area.
In 2003 the Board of County Commissioners approved an amendment to Chapter 31 of the Code to provide for wheelchair accessible taxicabs in Miami-Dade. The County is gradually increasing the number of WACs operating in Miami-Dade with a view to making three per cent of the taxicab fleet wheelchair accessible by 2007.
All wheelchair accessible cabs are modified and equipped to facilitate the transportation of wheelchairs and other Vehicles' used by persons with mobility impairments. Additionally, drivers are trained and certified in the safe and proper methods of securing and transporting passengers who use wheelchairs.

Miami International Airport's long-term parking facilities consist of two multi-level parking garages, identified as the DOLPHIN GARAGE and the FLAMINGO GARAGE.
Long Term Rates*:
$4.00 for the first hour or part thereof
$4.00 for the second hour or part thereof
$2.00 for the third hour or part thereof
$2.00 for the fourth hour or part thereof
$3.00 for the fifth hour or part thereof, to a maximum $15.00 per day
Short Term Premium Rates*:
$2.50 per half hour, or portion thereof to a maximum of $30.00 per day
Effective November 1, 2006, public parking rates will increase.
Terminal
Both the DOLPHIN GARAGE and the FLAMINGO GARAGE connect to the Terminal Building by moving sidewalks, located on the 3rd level of the garages.
Disabled Parking
Designated disabled permit parking and stroller permit parking is conveniently located by the moving sidewalks on the 3rd level of the garages. Additional disabled permit parking is available for wheelchair accessible vehicles on the ground level, at the easternmost section of the Dolphin garage.
Over-height Vehicles
Over-height vehicles may use the “High-Vehicle" surface lot parking area located adjacent to the East side of the FLAMINGO GARAGE.
Also available at a higher rate are the SHORT TERM parking facilities, located near the Terminal Building and identified as UPPER and LOWER LEVEL PARK ONE.

Cell phone parking:
Miami International Airport (MIA), is providing a Cell Lot for Airport users to wait when picking up friends, family members pr business associates. The Airport is providing 60 spaces for private, not-for-hire vehicles to use. The amenity is yet another customer convenience feature offered by MIa and its use is free of charge. The Cell Phone Lot is conveniently located and is avalible during daylight hours. The Lot is located just off of LeJeune Road and N.W. 31st Street, accessible from north or south. Please see map on reverse side.
Select rental car companies have registration counters located inside the baggage claim area, on Level 1 of the Terminal. Actual vehicle pick-up for all companies is off-site and must be accessed by courtesy shuttle van. Simply step outside of the baggage claim area and flag-down your selected company's vehicle as you see them pass by.
Please keep in mind that Miami International Airport does not have any rental car return locations at the terminal facilities. When returning to the Airport, please follow the posted signs to your specific company. If your company sign is not posted, contact your rental agency for directions.
The Miami-Dade Aviation Department operates the Tourist/Information Center located on Concourse E, Level 2, across from the hotel. This counter is open from 5am to 10pm. Travelers may also call (305) 876-7000 for more information. MIA’s VIP (Volunteer Information Program) staffs other Information Counters throughout the Terminal.
Lost and Found

Paging
A paging system is available throughout the terminal. To access this service, pick up any white courtesy phone throughout the terminal.
FOOD&DRINKS: Eateries include Pizza Strata, Sushi-to-Go, Fruit Tree Cafe, Chilli's Too, Hole in One, Baked Potato Cart, Cafe Versailles, Cozzoli's Pizzeria, Cafe La Carreta, Home Turf Sports Bar, Sbarros, South Beach Bar, Budweiser Brew House, Top of the Port Restaurant, Attitudes Bar, Sam Adams Brew House, Guava & Java and many more.
SHOOPING: There are plenty of newsstands and gift shops. There are book shops a Sunglass Hut and Eddie Stephen's Men's Shop and Duty Free shops.
Baggage Checkroom / Storage

ATMs / Bank
Passengers have access to a full service Bank of America on Concourse B, Level 4. ATM machines are located at the Service Center on Concourses C, Level 2, and throughout the Terminal’s second level.
Things to Do (3-5 hours between flights)
If you have 3 to 5 hours between flights, we have some things you can do (cosas que hacer)) to occupy your time. Check with the Information Center located in Concourse E, Level 2 for more details.
Barber Shop / Hair Salon / Shoe Shine
A Barber Shop / Hair Salon, can be found in the terminal at Concourse E, Level 2. Shoeshine stands are located on Concourses E and H, Level 2.
Chapel
For passengers’ convenience and need, MIA provides a non-denominational Chapel Room located on Concourse B, Level 4 of the terminal.
Currency Exchange
MIA has foreign currency exchange booths at six locations on Level 2, in the Concourse E Greeter’s Lobby on Level 1, and in the Concourse B Greeter’s Lobby on Level 3. The booth in Concourse E operates from 05:30 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.
Data Port Connections
Passengers can find data port connections at various locations throughout the terminal. You may ask for specific locations at one of our Information Centers, or by picking up a white paging phone.
Post Office
A full service post office is located on Concourse B, Level 4. Mailboxes and postage machines are also available on Concourse E, 2nd Level and at the Service Center, located on Concourse C, Level 2.
Press Center
The International Press Center is located on Concourse E, Level 2.
Western Union
Passengers may contact a Western Union representative at the main currency exchange booth on Concourse E, Level 2, Monday through Friday 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., or obtain directions to the nearest locations in the Airport area from our Information Centers.
MIA has TTY telephones at all public telephone banks throughout the terminal and at the Information Center at Concourse E, second level. In addition, all public telephones at MIA are hearing aid compatible.
Public Address System
Our new paging system will offer visual paging for the hearing impaired.
Restrooms
Men's and women's restrooms located throughout the terminal feature toilet compartments for the disabled. Look for the disabled symbol. Unisex restrooms equipped for the disabled are also available throughout the terminal.
Wheelchairs

To make sure a wheelchair is available at the proper time, it is best to reserve one in advance of your flight departure or arrival by contacting your airline. Wheelchair assistance may also be requested at airline ticket counters.
Moving Walkways
Moving walkways are available down each concourse and in international connectors. A moving walk on the third level of the main terminal spans the length of the building, allowing travelers to quickly transit from Concourse A to H.
