A number of limousine operators provide transportation services to and from SFO.
Limousine service must be pre-arranged with the operator.
At the Airport: At SFO, limousine service may be arranged via the Lodging, Transportation and Attraction Boards located on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level of the International Terminal and Terminals 1 and 3. These Boards provide free phone connections to participating limousine operators.
Safety Advisory: Ignore offers of ground transportation from solicitors inside the terminal building. While these solicitors may look and sound official, they are not authorized to solicit passengers and are breaking the law. For ground transportation assistance upon arrival at SFO, please go directly to the nearest Airport Information Booth or Lodging, Transportation and Attractions board. Information booths and boards are located on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level of each terminal.
Taxis
Taxis depart from the designated taxi zones located at the roadway Center Islands, on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level of all terminals.
Uniformed taxi coordinators are stationed at the taxi zones from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. to assist passengers with questions or concerns.
Ramp accessible taxis are available. Please contact the taxi coordinator to request a ramp accessible taxi, or phone *1191 from any Airport courtesy phone.
Door-to-Door Van Services
Door-to-door vans provide service between SFO and passenger-specified locations in shared ride vans. Depending on the number of passengers, door-to-door vans may make multiple stops.
From the Airport: Van service is available on a walk-up basis. However, passengers are advised to make reservations for service after 11:00 p.m.
Door-to-door vans pick up on the Departures/Ticketing Level from the roadway Center Island at all terminals.
To the Airport: Advanced reservations are required. Please contact the service provider directly. Door-to-door vans drop-off on the Departures/Terminal Level at all terminals.
Pre-Arranged Door-to-Door Van Services
Pre-arranged vans provide service between SFO and passenger-specified locations in shared ride vans. Depending on the number of passengers, pre-arranged vans may make multiple stops.
From the Airport: Passengers must make reservations with the pre-arranged van service in advance of pick-up at SFO.

SFO’s public transportation options include the following:
BART Rapid Rail: BART operates rapid rail service to northern San Mateo County, San Francisco and the East Bay directly from SFO. The SFO BART station is located on the Departures/Ticketing Level (Level 3) of the International Terminal, on the Boarding Area G side of the terminal near the Berman Reflection Room. BART is also easily accessed from any terminal by riding SFO's AirTrain to the Garage G/BART Station stop. There is no charge to board AirTrain. BART provides a direct connection to Caltrain at the Millbrae station. Caltrain Commuter Rail: Caltrain provides rail service between San Francisco and San Jose, with weekday commute-hour service to Gilroy. BART connects SFO to the Caltrain rail system at the Millbrae Station. Weekday express trains serve select stations during commute hours. SamTrans Public Bus Service: SamTrans provides 24-hour service connecting SFO to San Mateo County and parts of San Francisco and Palo Alto.

Airporters
Airporters, privately operated scheduled bus services, provide service between SFO and many Bay Area cities.
Airporters depart from the Center Island transportation zones on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level of the International Terminal and Domestic Terminals 2 and 3.
Charter Operators
Charter services are available to most Bay Area locations and must be pre-arranged with the service operator.
The Central Parking Garage is a 5-level facility located, for your convenience, in the center of the airport. With short and easy access tunnels to all the terminals, this garage is an ideal place to park for business and leisure passengers traveling on a short trip or for those coming to pick up arriving domestic passengers. To access the facility, follow the Domestic Terminal signs under the International Terminal and then follow the “hourly” parking signs to the entrance. Upon arrival in the garage, please park in the appropriate color-coded section designated by airline.
Daily/Houry (International Parking Garages A and G):
Our two International Parking Garages are located in front of the International Terminal, one on the north side and one on the south side of the Airport. To access the garages follow the International Terminal signs on the roadways and then follow the Garages A & G signs on the flyway. ALL TERMINALS can be accessed from these garages—the International Terminal via the pedestrian tunnels and the Domestic Terminals via AirTrain.
There are AirTrain stations located in both of the International Parking Garages. An easy 10-minute ride gets you to any of the domestic airline gates.
Long-Term Parking
At just $12 a day the new SFO Long-Term Parking is the closest and most affordable indoor long-term parking solution available at the airport.
Express Entry and Exit Options
Getting in and out of airport parking has never been faster. Utilize the pay-on-foot kiosks or just use your credit card to swipe in and swipe out.
Curb-Side Baggage Check-In Service
Check your bags right where you park. From 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. you can check your bags and get boarding passes for most domestic flights before boarding the shuttle to the terminals.
Shuttle Service
SFO's long-term parking facility and shuttle buses operate 24 hours a day. Frequent shuttle service runs every 5 minutes to 15 minutes (depending on the time of day). Electronic displays in the garage keep you informed as to when the next bus is due. Also, SFO buses have priority loading zones at each terminal for quick passenger access.
During peak travel periods baggage loading assistance is provided in the garage and at each terminal stop.
Parking Guarantee
Long-term parking at SFO is guaranteed. Should long-term parking become full, customers will receive a voucher to park in the terminal garages at the long-term rate.

In the Central and International Garages, disabled parking spaces are adjacent to the elevator lobbies. In long-term parking, disabled parking spaces for regular, as well as “van accessible” vehicles, are located on the first (ground) floor. SFO’s long-term parking shuttle buses are wheelchair accessible.

Central Garage:
Vehicles over 6’6” cannot be parked in the Central Garage and should proceed to Valet Parking, located off of the “Departures” level roadway, opposite the Delta Airlines curb. A valet attendant will assist you with parking.
International Garages:
Vehicles up to 8’ 2” can be accommodated in Garages A and G.
Long-Term Parking:
Vehicles up to 9’ can be accommodated on the first floor. Vehicles up to 7’ can be accommodated on the second floor and above. Disabled parking spaces for vehicles over 9’ are provided in the over-height parking area located outside the long-term garage.
AirTrain is SFO's fully automated people mover. AirTrain operates 24 hours every day, providing convenient and frequent service throughout San Francisco International Airport.
Easy Access to SFO's Terminals, Parking Garages, Rental Car Center and BART Station
AirTrain operates on two lines - the Red Line, which connects all terminals, garages and the BART Station; and the Blue Line, which connects all terminals, garages and the BART Station with the Rental Car Center. AirTrain does not provide service to SFO's Long Term Parking Lot.

Getting From Your Plane to AirTrain
Domestic Terminals 1, 2 and 3 each have an AirTrain station located on Level 5 of the Domestic Parking Garage.
To access Terminals 1's station, take the elevators/escalators down to the tunnel connector to the parking garage.
Terminal 3's station connects to the terminal via a passenger skybridge. Take the elevators/escalators to Mezzanine-Level 3.
The International Terminal has two AirTrain stations, located one level above ticketing at both ends of the Main Hall.
San Francisco International Airport’s Rental Car Center allows travelers to pick up and drop off rental cars at one convenient, central location. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty car rental counters are located on the fourth floor of the SFO Rental Car Center.
A number of off-Airport rental car agencies are served by free shuttle service from the SFO Rental Car Center. Shuttles for ABC, Airport, City, Fox and Payless rental car companies stop at the south curb of the Rental Car Center upon passenger request.
To access the Rental Car Center from the Airport terminals, take the AirTrain Blue Line. AirTrain, SFO’s fully automated people mover system, operates 24 hours every day and provides convenient and frequent service throughout SFO. AirTrain stations are located in all terminals, parking garages, the Rental Car Center and SFO’s BART station.
Airport Information Booths are located on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level of each terminal. Computerized information kiosks are available at the booths 24 hours a day. These kiosks provide both ground transportation and general airport information. Recorded multi-language ground transportation information is also available by dialing *1121 from any Airport courtesy phone.
Travelers Aid Booths are located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of all terminals and are staffed daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Travelers Aid provides general assistance and carries a number of printed public transportation schedules.
The lost property office is located on the Arrivals level of Terminal 1, and left-luggage is located at the Airport Travel Agency, in the International Terminal.
Express mail services, including Airborne, Federal Express and UPS, are available at the Airport Travel Agency, located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal, near Boarding Area G. Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Battery Charging and Internet Access Station
The PowerPort Battery Charging and Internet Access Station offers:

Need to freshen up before a meeting? Shower facilities are located in the SFO Hairport, located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal, near Boarding Area G ($11 rental fee). The Hairport is open Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Money: There is a full service bank and a self-service postal centre in Terminal 3, and ATM's are located throughout the terminals. Bureaux de change and currency exchange machines are available as well,
Religion: There is a meditation room available at the airport.
More Services: There is a medical centre at the airport, and baby change rooms.
Eating & Drinking: There are a number of shops selling good quality items from sweets to gifts, and 4 duty-free shops as well located at different points throughout the airport.
