Lounges:
Passengers wanting to avoid the crowds can pre-book the Servisair executive lounge. In this tranquil retreat you can work or relax with complimentary drinks and snacks. The Servisair executive lounge is available for a small fee to all passengers, not just first and business class, and is situated in the departures area of the airport on the first floor.
British Airways first and business class passengers can use the BA executive lounge; and bmi silver and gold diamond club members (flying with bmi or bmibaby) can use the bmi diamond club lounge. Both of these are also found after security control on the first floor.

Family Facilities
If you are looking for baby changing areas or want to just simply want to know where to park here is a glimpse at some of our many family facilities:
Food and other essentials
Most restaurants and bars provide high chairs and children's menus. Boots supply baby essentials such as nappies, formula milk and baby wipes.
World News offers a wide range of magazines, comics and puzzle books to keep children entertained in the departure lounge and in the air. There are also colouring packs containing crayons and a colouring book that can be picked up free from the BAA information desk.
Baby changing facilities
There are four baby change rooms at Edinburgh airport. Before security, there is one by Costa in the UK and Ireland arrivals area. After security there are baby change rooms by Gate 11 and on the first floor by Books etc.. For arriving passengers there is a babycare room in international baggage reclaim.
Play areas
There are childrens play units (Fingerbox) near Gates 2, 4, 9 and 11, and some entertainment for children is provided in the family area of the first floor Food Village.

Helping hand is a new service which provides your loved ones or business associates with personalised assistance to smooth their way through the airport. Whether its your partner travelling on their own or with the children or an important client who needs to be met as they leave the aircraft - Helping Hand can be there for them.
On arrival: Meet the guest as they leave the aircraft. Provide help with hand luggage. Retrieve luggage from baggage reclaim. Arrange onward transport.
On departure: Meet the guest at the airport with a baggage trolley. Assist with check in. Accompany the guest to the gate. Access to Fast Track through security. Provide a personal shopper service if requested.

Meeting Point
Edinburgh Airport does not have a designated meeting point, though most customers use the BAA information desk (ground floor, by international arrivals), or the Onward Travel information desk (ground floor, by UK and Ireland arrivals) as convenient points to meet with friends and family.

Smoking AreasNo smoking laws
New legislation in scotland has introduced a ban on smoking in public places. This applies to BAA Scotland’s three airports - Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Therefore smoking within terminal buildings at Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen Airports will be prohibited.
It will be an offence to smoke in a public space. Individuals who do so will be liable to a fixed penalty fine of L50.
